New edition of Ariadne@Brussels launched: ‘EU climate and energy policy in a polarising world’

The Kopernikus project Ariadne invites you to this year’s edition of the Ariadne@Brussels workshop series. From 8 to 10 December 2025, researchers from the Ariadne project will present their latest findings on EU climate and energy policy and discuss them in an informal, focused setting with policy makers and stakeholders.

Under the title ‘EU climate and energy policy in a polarising world: discussion of findings from the Ariadne project’, various thematic sessions can be attended over three days at Martin’s Hotel Brussels EU Quarter (Bd Charlemagne 80, 1000 Brussels) and online.

The main thematic highlights per day are as follows:

  • Monday 8 December: focus on carbon markets and their role in the transition to climate neutrality, including discussions on the post-2030 policy architecture – and sessions bringing together market analysts and carbon market modelers from academia;
  • Tuesday 9 December: discussions on competitiveness and decarbonization, the future of EU industry, energy infrastructure development as well as social impacts of the green transition.
  • Wednesday 10 December: concludes the programme with a dialogue on options for carbon dioxide removal integration into the EU ETS.

Kindly note that a few select elements of the programme are invitation-only and require a separate registration.

We are looking forward to your inputs to the discussion.
